The Chicago Bears are being disrespected all over 2019 season previews and projections, and it is up to one player specifically to prove them wrong.

It is still only the end of May and these early 2019 predictions/previews really don’t mean much of anything, but the Chicago Bears keep getting disrespected in different ways. Some people think they will regress, not be as good as the Green Bay Packers or Minnesota Vikings, or will have a weakness on the offensive side of the ball.

One player, in particular, is the one who can help prove that those people saying that negative stuff are completely wrong and that is Mitchell Trubisky. Mitch had a stellar first full season and led the Bears to a 12-4 season which was good enough to win the NFC North and earn a playoff berth. We all know that Mitch played well in the playoff game and why they lost.

The point of this is that he needs to come out next season and either be just as good or better. They are pretty much returning the same defense so we know that shouldn’t be a problem at all, and a great offense to compliment the best defense in the NFL would be a recipe for success.

In 2018 he had a Pro Bowl season. He had 3223 passing yards, a completion percentage of 66,6 percent, and threw 24 touchdowns to only 12 interceptions. He got a little banged up in the middle of the season causing him to miss two starts, and that may have ultimately cost the Bears a first-round bye in the playoffs. They went 1-1 without him, and the loss was to a much worse New York Giants team in overtime.

You can argue that if Mitch played, they would have had a much better chance to win and being 13-3 instead of 12-4 would have given them a bye. Then the Cody Parkey fiasco against the Philadelphia Eagles would have never happened.

It is very important the Mitch duplicates his production from 2018, if not be even better. If he can somehow be better, this team will prove all of the haters wrong and the Bears will have a real chance to win the Super Bowl for the first time in 34 years. Every Bears fan should believe he can because he has shown he can in front of our eyes.

light. Hot. Chicago Blackhawks trading Brandon Saad?

Another year of development and a few new weapons on offense could go a long way. There are two new running backs along with Tarik Cohen in David Montgomery and Mike Davis. Mitch has everything he needs to take the next step, and it is an exciting thing to think about if you are a Bears fan.
