Kansas City Chiefs

This would be quite the interesting scenario, wouldn’t it? Just a year or so ago, Matt Nagy comes from the Kansas City Chiefs to coach the Bears. He has a relationship with Andy Reid, which could potentially help a deal come to fruition.

While the Chiefs’ offense runs strictly through Patrick Mahomes, it wouldn’t hurt to get a reliable, durable back like Howard to run it down the throats of opposing defenses. In my opinion, Howard would make the Chiefs AFC favorites, and it’s not even close.

The Chiefs have two second-round picks in this year’s draft, which would be enticing for a general manager like Pace. Like the scenario with Houston, I don’t think you’re going to get a second-rounder straight up for Howard. So, the Bears would have to throw in a later pick to balance things out.

I know Bears fans are going crazy at the thought of these types of trades, but the reality is, you don’t get the equal return in value for any running back in today’s NFL. Look at how backs are being drafted and used right away as rookies. Any team can find a capable running back outside of the first two rounds.
