2. Bears do not re-sign Josh Bellamy

In the second of these 10 bold predictions, I don’t think it’s crazy to say that the Bears will move on from Josh Bellamy. Why would they do that, you ask?

Well, first of all, let’s establish this fact: Bellamy has grown on a lot of Bears fans over the past year, including myself. He’s become one of the guys that holds this tight-knit locker room together. The goofiness and brotherhood-like atmosphere he has assisted in creating is one of a kind. I never thought I would say this, but, I am thankful for Bellamy.

He’s been a special teams standout, too. But, I think it is time to see what the Bears have in Javon Wims. He flashed in the preseason and in training camp. His size is something missing out of the wide receiver group, and if the Bears move on from Kevin White (spoiler alert: they will) I think Wims can become a big part of the offense.

To slide in at the fifth spot, I wouldn’t put it past Pace to draft another wideout. Equipping this team with youth and speed has become a focal point, and there’s no better place to find both of those than in the NFL Draft.
