Adam Conley, Miami Marlins

The Miami Marlins have been a team, like the Texas Rangers, who are amongst a lot of trade talks right now. The Marlins figure to be sellers at the deadline, and more than one of their arms appear to be available.

One of those arms is lefty Adam Conley, who has made the transition to the bullpen this year. That transition, by the way, has been nearly flawless for the 28-year-old. On the season, Conley is 3-1 with an ERA of 2.63.

A huge reason why the Cubs will likely go after a bullpen arm is due to the health concerns with Brandon Morrow.

If Morrow is not worked back in soon, count the Cubs as a team who will certainly add some bullpen help. They cannot afford to miss that opportunity, and Conley would be a fantastic addition.

In his last seven appearances, Conley has given up just three hits and a single walk while striking out 10. In his last 20 appearances, Conley has only allowed runs in two of them — and that’s on a total of seven hits and eight walks, while striking out 22. I would say he is well-worth fighting for at the deadline.
