Mitch Trubisky

Yes, he is a second-year player, but Trubisky is now considered a veteran. Let’s face it, he’s got the leadership aspect down. Sometimes, that’s a difficult thing to grasp as a young quarterback. But, Trubisky has earned the respect of his locker room and they’re ready to follow. Now, it’s about performing on the field.

Pace has given Trubisky a true number one option in Allen Robinson. He’s given him a field stretcher like Taylor Gabriel. He’s given him the perfect slot receiver in Anthony Miller. Burton is now a lethal pass-catching tight end at Trubisky’s disposal.

And, let’s not forget about the dynamic back field behind him.

Trubisky truly has everything needed to succeed this year. Even if offensive line looks to be improved with a healthy Long and newly-drafted James Daniels. It will be up to the quarterback to determine how far this team goes in 2018. We’ve already talked about a top-10 defense as well, and given how meaningful that is to have behind you as a quarterback, Trubisky should be ready to explode this season.

The hype is becoming real around the Bears exceeding expectations in 2018. If those expectations are to be met and even exceeded, Trubisky’s performance will be at the forefront.
