Chicago Bears: Could Anthony Miller rewrite franchise history at WR?
Outlook
What a crazy time when we were all debating the merits of taking Calvin Ridley with the No. 8-overall pick or signing Jarvis Landry to a massive deal.
In Anthony Miller, the Chicago Bears got a second-round value for a player who likely could end up better than Landry will be. And you couldn’t dream up a better fit for Matt Nagy’s offense, either, which was part of why the Bears traded up for him.

Like seemingly every other receiver on the roster, Miller can line up and produce from anywhere on the field.
And with Allen Robinson opposite him and matchup problems all over the field, don’t expect Miller to start his NFL career quietly.
With so many weapons all over the place, he might not necessarily set rookie records for the Bears. He might have the best shot at Matt Forte‘s rookie record of 63 receptions, but Harlon Hill‘s 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns (tied with Mike Ditka) could stay out of reach.
But that doesn’t mean it can’t have a big year anyway. I’ll pencil in 50-60 catches for 800 yards and four touchdowns from Miller in 2018. And as he grows as a player, so will his role.

Eventually, I wouldn’t be surprised if, should he remain healthy, Miller holds a few Chicago Bears receiving records when it’s all said and done. He has the skill and the will to make it happen. Now, hopefully, some good fortune and hard work can turn him into the best receiver in franchise history.
