The Chicago Bears schedule is officially out for the 2018-2019 campaign. Fans should be cautiously optimistic, however, when looking at five particular games.

The 2018 NFL Draft is less than a week away. The free agency frenzy is over with. The coaching staff has been revamped. Now, the 2018-2019 Chicago Bears schedule has been released.

We are that much closer to Bears football, folks. But, it’s not going to be an easy year. While on paper, it looks like the Bears could amount to anywhere between 7-to-10 wins, that accomplishment will not come without some battles.

According to ESPN’s stats and information, the Bears will have the eighth most difficult schedule in the league next season, based on last year’s winning percentages among opponents. Of course, the strength of schedule doesn’t account for offseason changes made by organizations, so when looking at an opponent like the Seattle Seahawks in week two, the matchup may not be as daunting as it would have been a year or two ago.

Let’s not forget Chicago has made some changes of their own. With additions on offense and a likely-improved defense via the draft, the Bears are going to be a much better team than they were a year ago.

One thing that is for certain, is that the Bears will have some time on the national stage this year. Fans can be especially excited to see the Bears take on divisional rival Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day in November, which is one of three nationally-televised games for them.

When looking at the schedule as a whole, there are five games that stick out to me as being the toughest matchups in some potentially dire scenarios. Let’s take a deeper dive into these five matchups.
