With the 2018 NFL Draft one week away, what are our final impressions about who the Chicago Bears may select?

We’re getting closer and closer to this year’s edition of the NFL Draft. Last year saw the Chicago Bears take their leap of faith and find their franchise quarterback. Who knows what wild and exciting storylines await us this time around?

While it’s safe to say that the Chicago Bears won’t be taking a quarterback eighth overall, it’s hard to say the same about who will be available.

At this point, it’s abundantly clear the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets are taking quarterbacks, but there’s no guarantee the New York Giants and Denver Broncos will follow suit. There’s a decent chance that someone like the Buffalo Bills or Miami Dolphins will angle for a trade up, with both teams looking at quarterbacks.

We certainly can’t leave out Saquon Barkley or Bradley Chubb both likely being off the board when the Bears’ No. 8 pick rolls around. The growing consensus is that Tampa Bay will look at a defensive back, be it Minkah Fitzpatrick or Derwin James.

That leaves the Chicago Bears picking at eight. So without further ado, let’s dig in…
