Chicago Bears: 5 draft day trades that make sense
By Ryan Heckman
In the most obvious of teams to make a draft-day trade, the Buffalo Bills could certainly be a partner.
The Buffalo Bills are a team that has made some moves in an obvious attempt to land a quarterback this year and will likely make one more closer to draft day or on the day of.
Already moving up from no. 21 to no. 12 by shipping offensive tackle Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bills are not messing around in their efforts to find their franchise quarterback. Sure, they brought in veteran A.J. McCarron, but no one believes he is the long-term solution here, especially based on his contract details.
In my final scenario, I have the Bills moving from no. 12 up to no. 8 by swapping firsts with the Bears and also sending them one of their third-rounders — the 65th overall pick.
Once again, in this case, the Bears would now have a pick in the third round — and an early one, at that. The Bills could be going after either Rosen or Mayfield at that point, with the latter more likely, assuming Rosen would come off the board first out of those two.
There are several guys the Bears would be happy with in the first round, but a lot of them wouldn’t necessarily fit the value at number eight. For this reason, picking at no. 12 overall would be just fine. Again, they could find a player like Landry, Jackson or maybe even Marcus Davenport.

In the end, I see all five of these scenarios not only being win-win deals, but also not farfetched in terms of plausible outcomes on day one.
