Chicago Bears: 5 small school prospects to consider in 2018 NFL Draft
By Ryan Heckman
Offensive Tackle Brandon Parker, North Carolina A&T
Offensive line, offensive line, offensive line.
You are about to see the Bears add a significant amount of guys up front to either compete for a starting spot or specifically add depth behind the starters. Brandon Parker out of North Carolina A&T might be someone Pace has had his eye on, thanks to a former teammate of his.
Yes, of course, Parker has played with Cohen in the past and that chemistry and relationship could be something the Bears would use to their advantage. Locker room presence and chemistry cannot be taught, and having a familiar face is always a positive for a rookie.
At 6’7″, Parker is a monster up close. He has worked to continue to put on weight, and even at 314 pounds, still has a ways to go. He sure has the stature of a starting tackle in the NFL and could absolutely hone his skills into that type of player.
Parker is athletic for such a tall frame and can get out in space easily, which would come in handy under Nagy’s offense that features a lot of movement and options. Putting on additional weight and building strength is easily coached and improved upon, so I would be thrilled if the Bears could grab him in the sixth or seventh round in April.

It is encouraging to see he models himself after a guy like Tyron Smith, one of the best tackles in the league. He still has work to do, but if he’s true to his best advice of continually getting better, Parker could see a long career ahead of him.
