Chicago Bears: 5 incredible catches throughout Allen Robinson’s career
By Ryan Heckman
Stephon Gilmore never had a chance on this one.
In week seven of the 2015 campaign, the Jaguars traveled to London, England as they have made a habit of doing over the years. Fans over there have grown to love the Jaguars and, on this occasion, Robinson put on a show.
Working on Gilmore, the fourth-year pro out of South Carolina, Robinson again worked the left sideline as he loves to do frequently. Gilmore, out of desperation, attempted to nearly hug Robinson on the play. There was a flag thrown for pass interference, but it didn’t matter.
Robinson came down with the ball — as if there was ever a doubt about it.
On the day, the former Jaguar caught six passes for a total of 98 yards and a touchdown. He accounted for over half of his quarterback’s total passing yardage in the game. That might not be saying much for a guy like Bortles, but it certainly says a lot about the faith Robinson gives his quarterback.
The Jaguars staved off a fourth quarter comeback attempt by the Bills, winning the game 34-31. Gilmore didn’t exactly have his best showing on that day, failing to defend a pass or generate a takeaway — but, what do you expect going up against a matchup nightmare like Robinson?
