Adam Silver has issued a serious warning to the Chicago Bulls regarding the way they have gone about recent games.

Fred Hoiberg has no choice now but to begin putting some of his veteran players back on the court very soon. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has taken notice of Hoiberg’s tanking antics as of late, and the blatant incompetency shown by the coach has gotten him in some trouble.

The Bulls have not seen the presence of some key veterans on the floor in quite some time and the commissioner believes it is in direct correlation with the team vying for a top draft pick this summer.

Shams Charania of The Vertical came out with a pretty telling report late Tuesday afternoon. It seems Silver is one step away from taking action against the team.

Look, I am all for gaining a high lottery pick in this year’s draft. But, the way Hoiberg has gone about it has been just plain silly. Seriously, the Bulls have been straight up embarrassing themselves recently and it has gotten out of hand. Just last night, they were down by as many as 35 points to the Boston Celtics who were playing without Kyrie Irving.

Robin Lopez has not seen the floor in nearly a month, with his last game being on Valentine’s Day. Justin Holiday, another veteran averaging double digit points, has only played in one game since the All Star Break.

The Bulls are losers of 14 out of the last 17 games they have played. Hoiberg better get a grip on his tactics soon, or the Bulls may end up facing stern punishment via Silver. Once again, I’d love to see Chicago end up with a top-5 pick, maybe even better, but the embarrassingly obvious tanking needs to take a step back.
