Fred Hoiberg is officially all about it. Check out how social media has reacted to the Chicago Bulls’ tank job in 2018.

A few weeks ago, I was talking about how the Chicago Bulls shouldn’t necessarily attempt to tank the rest of the season away. Well, apparently my opinion doesn’t matter much to Fred Hoiberg — and I suppose that is just fine.

The Bulls are attempting to pull off one of the best tank jobs in recent memory. Counting their most recent win on Friday night, they have still lost 13 of their last 16 games. This stretch includes both a 7-game losing streak and a 5-game skid.

Hoiberg has completely given up on playing his best players when it matters most. Robin Lopez, Justin Holiday and Jerian Grant have seen little to no minutes in recent weeks and it doesn’t appear to be changing soon.

By the way, I did just cringe calling those three some of the Bulls’ best players. Maybe the better term would have been “veterans.”

In any event, Hoiberg is all set to try and get the Bulls into the highest lottery pick he possibly can. Whether or not anyone in the front office admits it — because, you just wouldn’t do that — the Bulls are without a doubt in full-on tank mode.

If you are a Bulls fan, the best thing you can do at this point is laugh and look forward. There is no changing what is going on with the team right now, so just enjoy the downhill ride.

What wouldn’t hurt, though, is to embrace it.

What better way to embrace the tank than with humor and social media? Without further adieu, enjoy some of the best tweets in regards to the Bulls’ tank job this year.

Yes, that is an airball. No, I don’t know how Cameron Payne has a career in the NBA.

Lauren Comitor referred to the Bulls’ embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on February 22nd. Chicago held a 115-110 lead with 1:02 left. Even more hilarious was the fact that they held a 115-114 lead and the ball with :08 on the clock.

I threw this one in here because, well, this is just a bit of a stretch. Yikes.

Ouch — that one hurt.

I believe the correct response to a situation like this is, and correct me if I am wrong: “Shake my head.”

So, at one point fans wanted the brass fired due to incompetency. Now, fans want them fired due to their incompetency in being incompetent. My, how the tables have turned.

Maybe it’s a good idea to sprinkle in a win every once and a while just to make the commissioner happy. After all, he did issue a warning to teams attempting to do what a handful of teams are blatantly doing.

All I can say, fans, is to embrace the tank. Or, as the Sixers said for a while, trust the process. If all goes according to plan, the Bulls will not stink forever.
