Chicago Bears are in talks with Jarvis Landry’s agent
By Ryan Heckman
What started as just a rumor has now made itself real for the Chicago Bears and Jarvis Landry.
Rumors have a way of getting folks all riled up, and justifiably so. In Chicago, sports are essentially religion — especially Chicago Bears football.
Over the course of the last few days, the talk of Jarvis Landry heading to Chicago hasn’t quieted down. In fact, it is more than just skepticism now. As of this moment, it’s been reported that Landry’s agent is in talks with the Bears in attempt to work out a trade with the Miami Dolphins.
Saturday, the hot rumor flooding social media was a deal that would exchange Landry for Jordan Howard while also including some pick swapping in the upcoming NFL Draft. That was since squashed by NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Now, it looks like the Bears could end up obviously keeping Howard but also acquiring the fifth year wideout. Wouldn’t that be something?

By now, you have heard all about what Landry has done in his first four years. Shattering the record for most receptions in his first four years is his most notable achievement to date.
But, it’s what lies behind that staggering number of 400 receptions that becomes so appealing for Chicago. The Bears, of course, have lacked a receiver with sticky hands in the last couple of seasons.
I introduce to you the stickiest of sticky hands.
Landry catches virtually every ball thrown his way. Somehow, some way, he finds the ability to haul in what seems like every pass in his direction. It’s uncanny.
If Matt Nagy can add a playmaker of Landry’s caliber, it will change the outlook of the entire offseason. Strategies for free agency and the draft will be much more clear for general manager Ryan Pace.
Addressing the most glaring need on the roster is an absolute must in the coming days. Landry would be one heck of a start to that process.
