Jaire Alexander
Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 192 pounds
Arms: 31 1/4 inches
Hands: 9 1/2 inches
Alexander is another player, like Moore, that doesn’t necessarily check every single box you normally look for in a Pace pick/Vic Fangio cornerback.
It’s not as if he isn’t shrimpy or another like that. He just isn’t that 6-foot-or-over, pole-armed monster that Fangio defenses typically like to feature.
And scouting reports are already projecting that he might have to resign himself to a future primarily as a slot corner.
That said, he has the upside to be more than that.
Jaire Alexander has injury concerns. He also has the ball skills the Chiefs now desperately need. #ChiefsDraftmas pic.twitter.com/kCP1weYeFa

He blazed a trail with a 4.38 40 and very respectable numbers in the vertical (35 inches) and broad jump (127 inches). As such, he should be “twitchy” enough for everyone.
And when he’s going right, he has solid playmaking instincts and a knack for sticking with receivers on routes. With that kind of speed, he could be a big boost to this secondary, whether he’s inside or outside.
Next: Interesting round 2 options for Bears (Part 1)
Depending on what the Chicago Bears do at corner in free agency, starting with re-signing Kyle Fuller, they could opt to make a play at corner in the draft. And if Alexander hangs on after the first round, he could fit in with the Bears.
His toughness and raw man coverage ability could make him a very interesting play alongside Fuller or whatever corner plays alongside him.
