Which dynamic potential starter could the Chicago Bears shoot for in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft? And how did the NFL Combine help or hurt their stock?

Obviously, Chicago Bears fans are mainly excited about who the team will take with the No. 8-overall pick (or whatever first round pick they end up with) in the 2018 NFL Draft. And the NFL Combine provides tons of fodder for that potential decision.

Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley?

Virginia Tech’s Tremaine Edmunds?

Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson?

None of the above (given how these last few drafts have gone, that wouldn’t surprise anyone)?

That’s typically how it goes in draft season; the top guys get all the love.

But given the way this draft (and most others) is shaping up, the Bears will have an embarrassment of great options to pick from on Day 2.

As such, even if the Bears go away from who you thought they should’ve picked in the first round, they can most likely rebound to grab a starting-caliber player the next day.

In particular, let’s look a first look at the various options the Chicago Bears could look at with their second-round pick (No. 39 overall).

And once the defensive backs perform, we’ll have Part 2 of this list.
