Chicago Bulls pull off epic tank job against Boston Celtics without Kyrie Irving
By Ryan Heckman
Even without Kyrie Irving, the Boston Celtics had no problem taking care of the Chicago Bulls. It got ugly in a hurry.
Here’s your latest reminder that the Chicago Bulls want nothing to do with winning a game of basketball. Monday night, they were home against the Celtics who were playing without Kyrie Irving.
Do you think that mattered? Absolutely not.
From start to finish, the Bulls were horrendous. It’s almost like they have turned this whole tanking thing into an art form. I mean, really, they’re getting good at it. At halftime, Chicago was down by 26 points — which is almost as many points they scored as a team at that point.
Halftime score: BOS 55 CHI 29
You might have to watch the above video a couple of times, but seriously, Mr. Stephen Noh has a point here. It looked like Denzel Valentine nonchalantly pointed out exactly where Marcus Smart should toss the ball — and voila, the Bulls were burned.

Final Score: BOS 105 CHI 89
Believe me, the final score looks generous in comparison to the majority of the game. At one point, the Bulls were down by more than 30. It took a 36-point fourth quarter for Chicago to make this look somewhat competitive.
Here’s a fun statistic for you: Zach LaVine, Bobby Portis, Kris Dunn and Noah Vonleh combined to shoot 7-for-36 on the night.
Chicago is now 21-42 — yes, the Bulls have lost twice as many games as they have won. Math is fun, isn’t it?
On Wednesday, the Bulls host the Memphis Grizzlies where will try to follow up this huge embarrassing failure.
