Notre Dame has been a hotbed for tight end talent since Brian Kelly took over, they look to continue their reign with an offer to Brayden Liebrock, tight end out of Arizona.

For Notre Dame, having a highly recruited tight end on their roster is not a strange sight. They have been known to some scouts around the NFL as “Tight End U”, consistently sending players from that position to the league. With an offer to class of 2019 tight end, Brayden Liebrock, he very well could be the next to go from the Fighting Irish, to the NFL.

Since 2008, Notre Dame has sent 5 tight ends to the NFL Draft, with all of them getting drafted. That year, John Carlson was drafted 38th overall to the Seattle Seahawks, he would spend six seasons in the league.

More from Notre Dame

In 2011, and 2013, Kyle Rudolph and Tyler Eifert were drafted in their respective classes. Despite back injuries that have hampered a possible stunning career, Eifert is still one of the top tight end’s when healthy, and Rudolph proved his worth more than ever to the Minnesota Vikings this season.

According to MaxPreps, Liebrock stands at 6-foot-5, while weighing 220 lbs. He also ranks as the 26th best tight end in the country, while finishing first in the state of Arizona. Just this past season, Liebrock led his highschool in Arizona to a state title, winning the championship game by a score of 49-42

Despite being 6’5, Liebrock has the speed of a shorter receiver and the ability to run routes with the best out there. He uses his quick bursts of speed, and efficient route-running to evade defenders out of the jump.

Besides Notre Dame, Liebrock has also received offers from California, Ohio State, Arizona State, Memphis and Nevada. If he does choose to travel east for college football, South Bend would be the best place to play, and get ready for the NFL.
