Chicago Bears: Fantasy football players to watch, Week 1
Jordan Howard, running back
Starting off with the most obvious player, Jordan Howard, who finished last season as the ninth rated running back in fantasy football. He was able to accomplish that despite not starting until week 4 against the Detroit Lions, after Jeremy Langford was injured against the Dallas Cowboys.

Howard does not provide much value as a PPR (point per reception) running back, but he should only be downgraded slightly in such leagues. He did not catch more than four passes in any games last season. However, it is also possible that he changes that narrative around him and can catch 45-50 passes this season.
Fox already said that this is going to be a run-oriented team this season and it would not shock me if Howard were to touch the ball 25 times a game. He is the best player on the team, and he will certainly be utilized in a fashion that allows him to make plays.
In ESPN fantasy leagues, Howard is projected for 13.3 fantasy points this week against the Falcons. I believe that is a good projection for him, and he may even finish with a higher score. The Falcons have a strong defense, but I do not believe that they will be able to contain Howard.
