Chicago Bears lose to Cleveland Browns: Offensive grades
Running Backs: D
Neither Jordan Howard nor Tarik Cohen played tonight, which settles the running back pecking order for the Chicago Bears. As such, Bears fans got to watch a parade of carries from Benny Cunningham, Jeremy Langford and, most frequently, Josh Rounds. Riveting stuff.

It’s important to remember that Cunningham’s true value lies on special teams, so nothing he did as a ball carrier really mattered. And judging from the limited look Langford got, I’d say he likely has made the team. The injury to Ka’Deem Carey appears to have saved him a roster spot. Assuming Carey goes on IR, he’ll remain with the team a while longer. If Carey had stayed healthy, who knows if we’re talking about this?
Rounds had one or two decent runs, but he generally just doesn’t look like an NFL running back. Nothing he did in the preseason did much to impress anyone, as far as I’m concerned. The Bears will definitely be cutting him in a day or two, and that’s probably the last we’ll be hearing about him in Chicago.
When the season rolls around, it’s going to be the Howard and Cohen Show in the Chicago Bears backfield. Langford might get a carry or two in there too, but with luck, he won’t be needed much.
