Offensive Line: B

I believe that, aside from a few plays, the offensive line had a great game. Considering left guard Kyle Long did not play, the unit looks like it could live up to the hype of a top five unit.

They gave up two sacks on the day, one of which to Mitchell Trubisky, and the other to Mike Glennon, but overall I thought that they provided solid protection, and opened up holes in the running game.

In order for Mike Glennon to play average, this unit is going to have to protect him. Also, I am worried about teams loading up the box against Jordan Howard, daring Glennon to throw. So, the work of the offensive line is going to be that much more important. Trubisky has the ability to move within the pocket and throw deep, which will help the offensive line.

Apparently, I am not alone in this thought process. The limitations of Mike Glennon are a concern for the offense as a whole. Can the offensive line block against loaded boxes? Well, that remains to be seen. Getting Kyle Long back healthy sooner rather than later will help.
