Running Backs: B-

Wow, the Chicago Bears have a plethora of NFL quality running backs. It would not shock me at all if another team claims one of them if general manager Ryan Pace decides to cut any of them.

While the overall stats will not make your jaw drop, the team ran the ball well. They rushed 28 times for 96 yards, which is an average of 3.4 yards per carry.

Starting running back Jordan Howard carried the football 12 times for 45 yards. He did have a few nice carries on the day, like this one:

Jeremy Langford, who was the 2016 Week 1 starter, is the forgotten man. He played in his first game of the preseason and carried the ball five times for 15 yards. He did have his two big runs on back-to-back plays in the third quarter, which was an eight-yard run followed by a seven-yard run. Immediately after those two rushes, he had a catch for 10 yards, which was followed by a catch of nine yards.

With the injury to Ka’Deem Carey last week, Langford may very well join Tarik Cohen and Benny Cunningham on the opening day roster.

It will be interesting to see how Langford, Cunningham and Josh Rounds perform in the fourth and final preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.
