Chicago Bears: Way too early 7-round 2018 NFL mock draft
After landing Trubisky a franchise left tackle in the first round, the Chicago Bears give him another weapon in the second. If Kevin White can stay healthy, him and Cameron Meredith can make up a strong one, two punch at wide receiver. However, the Bears have little else to speak of at the position and White is an extremely risky player going forward.
With that in mind, wide receiver could easily be among the Bears’ biggest needs in the 2018 NFL Draft. A lot depends on how White plays in 2017.
In the second round, the Bears take Texas A&M wide receiver, Christian Kirk. Kirk is an extremely quick and athletic wide receiver who knows how to play the wide receiver position. He has an advanced route tree, can make plays deep and will be a weapon with the ball in his hands. Kirk is also an extremely dependable receiver. This comes from the scouting report of Kirk from FanSided’s With the First Pick.
"“Kirk features excellent hands and routinely plucks the ball away from his frame. He’s a reliable target who knows how to get open and provide the quarterback with an open target. His speed also makes him a big-play threat.”"
Kirk is also an extremely versatile receiver, showing the ability to make an impact out of the slot and on the outside. Honestly, this kid can do it all. He is an exciting talent who is also extremely dependable and versatile. Kirk would be a fantastic weapon to add to the mix for Trubsiky.
