The Chicago Cubs honored their 2016 World Series championship team again on Wednesday night. After an unforgettable banner-raising ceremony on Monday night, the 2016 Cubs were presented with their championship rings prior to Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Their 108-year championship drought was the longest in professional sports. I think it is fair to say that these rings are the most anticipated set of championship rings in the history of sports. And boy did the Cubs go all out.
Stunning. Absolutely stunning. This Chicago Cubs championship ring is just as beautiful as I have ever could have imagined. The 108 diamonds, the “W” flag on the side, “We Never Quit” on the back, the marquee and of course, a goat on the inside. Those rings are absolutely perfect.

The entire ring ceremony was awesome. Cubs legends Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg and Billy Williams all received rings and Len Kasper announced that the Cubs will be making rings for the late Ernie Banks and Ron Santo to be put on display. Very cool move by the organization.
But the best part of the ceremony was the 20 fans presenting the rings to the players. These die-hard fans were the “ring bearers” for the night, which helped make the ceremony even more special.
Plus, how great was it to see David Ross on the field at Wrigley again?
