Chicago Bulls News: Rajon Rondo suffers sprained wrist
Chicago Bulls veteran point guard Rajon Rondo is out indefinitely after suffering a sprained wrist against the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
While Dwyane Wade will be coming back for the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, the Bulls will be without their starting point guard temporarily.
Bulls’ starting point guard Rajon Rondo suffered a wrist injury in the team’s loss to the New York Knicks on Tuesday. Rondo underwent an MRI and the test confirmed that he suffered a sprained wrist.
Rondo did not play in the Bulls’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday but he is expected to return before the end of the regular season next week.

"“It hurts. It’s painful. It’s my dominant hand. So just taking a day at a time,” Rondo said. “Just listen to how it feels. Hopefully, I’ll get a good night’s rest tonight and it feels better tomorrow.”"
Rondo’s injury comes at an unfortunate moment for the Bulls. The Bulls, who are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference, are fighting to make the playoffs. After getting positive news with the imminent return of Wade, the news on Rondo is discouraging for the Bulls. Rondo’s hot play over the course of the past month is one of the reasons why the Bulls’ playoff push had renewed energy.
In the meantime, Jerian Grant will start at point guard for the Bulls. Grant is confident that he can succeed in the Bulls’ starting rotation.
"“It’s definitely still there,” said Grant. “When I played, I played well. I have the confidence that when I get my minutes, I’m going to play well.”"
