Chicago White Sox fans have been particularly frustrated that this front office has not traded ace Jose Quintana, but SP Quintana added to his value with a remarkable performance against Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.

Chicago White Sox ace pitcher Jose Quintana pitched five and two-thirds innings and only allowed one hit against the powerful Team USA lineup on Friday night.

The ace’s abilities were on full display, and if the Astros, Yankees, Pirates, or Rockies thought that they could swindle the White Sox, they are in for a rude awakening. Rick Hahn held all of the leverage before Friday night, and well, he now has plenty more of it.

The Sox can show these teams what they got for Eaton and Sale, and then show Quintana’s stats paired with the film of Friday night’s performance. My hope is that the Sox get a king’s ransom for Quintana, and this eventual trade will really speed up the rebuild.

The White Sox and its fans are in for a long season, and this Quintana trade is on the front of everybody’s minds. Expect plenty more rumors to begin circling throughout the MLB regarding Quintana very soon. The Astros, Yankees, Pirates, and Rockies have been at the front of the trade rumors for a long time, but expect a few more teams to try to jump into the party.
