What should the Bears do?

The Chicago Bears need cornerback help. They have Kyle Fuller, a player who lost the confidence of his coaches. Also, Tracy Porter is on the wrong side of 30. After experiencing a ridiculous number of injuries, it can’t happen again, right?

I believe they should pick a premium guy like Bouye. I really like his style of play. The rest of the guys are not worth a high price. I know I did not profile Trumaine Johnson, but he made $13.9 million this season, and his price tag will be too expensive. With all the holes they need to fill, spending that amount on a corner is too much.

If they can be had for a low price, then they should add one of the lower-tiered players as well. Then, pick up someone in the draft (one that has plenty of good corners), and add them to whoever they feel played well enough in 2016 to come back in 2017.

The added depth in the secondary allows the Bears to use a good rotation of players. Having them spread the time out could help prevent overuse and more injuries.
