Gasol faces his brother in All-Star Game, Butler plays in limited action
Pau Gasol entered last Sunday’s All-Star Game as now a five-time All-Star, but this appearance was a little bit different this time.
Gasol would be right across from his younger brother — Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol — for the opening tip-off. The Gasol brothers became the first set of siblings to start the NBA All-Star Game against each other.
Following the awesome pregame moment for the Gasols, Pau would continue his double-double trend from the first half of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Eastern Conference, while Marc scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the 163-158 win for the Western Conference.
The Bulls’ second All-Star, Jimmy Butler, played in limited action due to a shoulder issue that arose before the break. Butler scored six points in nine minutes off the bench for the East in his first All-Star Game appearance.
(Thank you for taking care of him, Bud.)
