Now that the Chicago Bears have played one preseason game, there are some lingering questions heading into the second week. What do we still need to know before the regular season starts?

Biggest Questions Chicago Bears Must Answer to Finish Preseason

Who is the sixth wide receiver?

The top five receivers appear to be locked in. Rome Odunze and Luther Burden will start, while Kaliff Raymond and Zavion Thomas were the offseason additions. Jahdae Walker appears to have his spot locked, but the sixth receiver is still open. Kaden Davis has been the name with the most buzz in training camp, but Scotty Miller has the most experience.

Maurice Alexander had a touchdown in the preseason, and Ray Ray McCloud has a good special teams background. The spot is up for grabs.

Who will start at left tackle?

The team started two players at left tackle with serious thoughts of giving them a chance to start in Week 1. They might be behind the two real candidates to start. Braxton Jones and Ozzy Trapilo missed the preseason opener. Trapilo might not be ready for the regular-season opener

Does Jones take hold of the job, or do all three let it linger until Trapilo is healthy?

How do they fill the Offensive line room?

The top nine spots on the line should be set. They will have one of Trapilo and Jones make the team, and the other will be depth. Darnell Wright will make it at right tackle with Theo Benedet behind him.

The three starters on the offensive line, as well as Logan Jones and Luke Newman, should make it. The big question is whether they keep another depth guard or more tackle depth. They would be reliant on Newman because Jones does not have that versatility.

Who is the third running back

The Bears' top two running backs are locked onto the roster, but the team could go in a lot of different directions to find the fourth. Roschon Johnson is the returning former draft pick. Brittain Brown finished the year strong when Johnson was hurt last year. Salvon Ahmed is a training camp darling, and Coleman Bennett is an intriguing rookie UDFA. Who seperetse themself?

Who is the fourth edge rusher

The Bears' top three edge rushers are locked in, but the fourth could be anyone. Daniel Hardy and Jamoree Kromah made cases in the preseason. Meanwhile, Shemar Turner could return from PUP and take it.

Even James Lynch is getting some work on the edge. Who takes on that role?
