The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers link up in a huge NFC North contest in Week 14. This is the first of two games that will take place over the course of three weeks, and the Bears have released their injury report before this clash.

Chicago has officially ruled out second-year WR Rome Odunze due to a foot injury. With him sidelined for this divisional tilt, the Bears will have to lean on the other receivers on the team, which puts veteran DJ Moore into the limelight.

DJ Moore Thrust in Spotlight with Rome Odunze Injury

This season has been underwhelming for Moore in terms of production. Even though the Bears have stacked up wins, Moore hasn't been contributing as much as he wants or as fans expected. Through 12 games, he's second on the team in catches (38), receiving yards (502), and receiving touchdowns (3).

In 2025, Moore has only led the team in receiving yards three times, but he hasn't gone over 73 receiving yards in any game this season. While it's certainly disappointing, it doesn't all fall on Moore's shoulders. This offense has been led by its ground attack. Chicago is second in the NFL in rushing offense (153.8), and this is how they wear opposing defenses down.

Meanwhile, the passing game has left a ton to be desired. Even though Caleb Williams is 12th in the NFL in passing yards (2,722), he's struggled to connect consistently with his receivers. Williams has completed just 58.1% of his throws, logging less than 200 passing yards in two of his last three outings.

Ben Johnson knows that the passing offense needs to improve, and he called that out following the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. And with the Bears traveling to play against a division rival, this would be an ideal time to get things clicking. But at the same time, it won't be easy.

Green Bay is fourth in the NFL in total defense (284.8) and sixth in passing offense (186.5). It's not easy to get things against this group, but the Bears will be leaning on everyone to get the job done. Moore has shown the ability to be a serious difference maker in this league, and fans would love for one of those performances to happen in Week 14.

It wouldn't be far-fetched, either, as Moore has enjoyed success against Green Bay in his career. In six games versus the Packers, he's reeled in 37 catches for 488 receiving yards and a score. He's gone over 60 receiving yards in three straight games, and Chicago wants that success to continue in this outing.

With Odunze sidelined, the Bears will look in Moore's direction more often. It'll be interesting to see how he answers the call.
