It hasn't been smooth sailing for the Chicago Bears through the first two weeks of the season. They are 1-1 but the offense has struggled to move the ball.

It's been a combination of injuries, shaky offensive line play, and quarterback Caleb Williams going through growing pains.

Through two games, Chicago ranks 31st in the NFL in total offense (176.5) and 32nd in passing offense (99) with 18.5 points per game.

Despite the early struggles, the Bears have the weapons to get the ball rolling and rookie receiver Rome Odunze is someone who can turn things around. And in Week 3, Odunze has the ideal opportunity to shine.

Bears News: Keenan Allen Is Sidelined for Week 3

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out, and Odunze has no injury designation after being on the injury report last week with a sprained MCL.

With Allen not suiting up and the Colts likely focusing on taking away D.J. Moore, Odunze will have a chance to be an effective playmaker on Sunday. Chicago drafted Odunze in the first place due to his ability to be a dynamic weapon in the league.

He runs crisp routes and has the ability to bring down contested catches. In two games, he has recorded three catches (nine targets) for 44 yards and 14.7 yards per catch.

With an influx of targets now up for grabs due to Allen being out and Odunze not dealing with a knee injury anymore, the 22-year-old will have opportunities to step up and be an effective pass catcher.

We'll have to wait and see if he takes advantage.
