Rams Star Already Ruled Out for Week 4 as Bears Look to Bounce Back
The Chicago Bears have hit a wall over the past two weeks, dropping two straight games. They are 1-2 and were beaten by the Indianapolis Colts 21-16 in Week 3.
That's the beauty of the NFL though. You always have an opportunity to redeem yourself and the Bears will have that chance on Sunday with the Los Angeles Rams coming into town.
Thankfully for Chicago, a star playmaker for the Rams has already been ruled out for Week 4.
NFL News: Cooper Kupp Is Ruled Out for Week 4
Per Sarah Barshop of ESPN, receiver Cooper Kupp will not be active when the Rams take on the Bears.
Kupp sprained his ankle in a Week 2 tilt against the Arizona Cardinals. Although he wasn't placed on IR, he isn't quite ready to return yet. And that's great news for the Bears.
In addition to Kupp, Los Angeles will be without Puka Nucua, Darious Williams, Jonah Jackson, John Johnson III, Steve Avila, and Joe Noteboom.
That's a lot of difference-makers on the offensive end that Chicago won't have to deal with. Heading into this contest, the Bears ranked ninth in the league in total defense (286.7), seventh in passing defense (165), and 10th in scoring defense (19).
Not having two All-Pro WRs out there is a blessing. Especially since the Bears offense has struggled to get things going thus far.
With all these injuries on the Rams' side, Chicago opens up as a 2.5-point favorite with the Over/Under set at 40.5 according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
