Predicting Bears' Next 4 Games After 2-2 Start
Week 8: Washington Commanders
After the bye week, the Bears travel to Washington to take on the Commanders and No. 2 overall pick, Jayden Daniels. Forget Rookie of the Year, he's playing at an MVP level right now.
He's currently 1st in completion percentage (82.1%), 12th in passing yards (897), and 3rd in QB rating (107.4). He also has added 218 rushing yards to make things even more difficult on defenses. The Commanders are clicking on all levels right now due to their elite offensive line and the play of Daniels.
The Commanders' offensive line has surrendered only 26 pressures and one sack on 139 passing snaps. PFF has them ranked second in the league in pass-blocking efficiency at 90.3. It will be a big test for the Bears to generate pressure on Daniels while also containing his rushing ability. That being said, the Commanders have not played a defense as good as the Bears' yet, so this one will likely be close. We'll get a better idea of the offense in Week 6 when they take on the vaunted Ravens.
The Commanders are not as scary on the defensive side of the ball as they are on offense, though. They rank 25th in points per game (25.5) and 27th in yards per game (357). If the Bears' offense is able to gain some confidence leading up to this game, they can keep pace with the Commanders as the defense will likely be able to keep it close. This one can go either way but we'll give the edge to the home team.
