The Chicago Bears will surely be one of the busiest teams this offseason. With the No. 1 overall pick, another selection in the top ten, and over $60 million in cap space, general manager Ryan Poles will have plenty of work to do to rebuild the roster that has consistently disappointed over the last few seasons.

The Bears' offense will look entirely different next season with Shane Waldron as the new offensive coordinator, and presumably Caleb Williams as the new signal-caller. Chicago hasn't had an above-average offense in terms of points since 2018 and they will be desperate to change that.

One of the best ways to do so is by improving the wide receiver corps. D.J. Moore has blossomed into a star and he will continue to be the WR1 going forward. The rotation behind him leaves plenty to be desired, and the best of the rest Darnell Mooney is also likely headed elsewhere in free agency.

This opens the door for a big trade to bring in a high-level wide receiver. And the Pittsburgh Steelers just made the perfect candidate available.

Trade Candidate Diontae Johnson is the Perfect Bears WR Target

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Steelers are listening to trade offers for Pro Bowl wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Johnson will draw plenty of interest around the league as the 27-year-old has shown an impressive playmaking ability in his five seasons in Pittsburgh. Despite dealing with a hamstring injury and playing in a dysfunctional offense with inconsistent play, Johnson had 717 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games last season.

That is nowhere near his breakout campaign in 2021 where he went for 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns, but the upside is still there.

Johnson would likely require a second-round or a third-round pick in a trade but GM Poles has shown that he doesn't shy away from trading picks for roster upgrades. It behooves the Bears to do that again for the talented wideout.

The Bears need serious improvements to the roster to be a threat in the NFC North. Currently, they have the third-best odds (+330) on FanDuel Sportsbook to win the division. Head over there now to claim your sign-up bonus and back the Bears.
