The Chicago Bears will be one of the most interesting teams to watch this season. After going 7-10 in 2023, Ryan Poles did a phenomenal job adding more talent to this roster.

He's made some big-time additions including Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze. That didn't stop him from making more moves with the regular season a little over a week away.

Following the preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Bears made a surprising trade for linebacker Darnell Taylor. Chicago sent over a 2025 sixth-round pick in exchange for Taylor.

Now a few days later, Taylor has made his first comments since becoming a Bear and he couldn't be more excited.

"I honestly didn't know what to think. But coming in here and being around everybody and being in this environment, I'm just excited to be here. It's something new for me. I've never been traded before, never been with another team. I'm just excited to see new faces, be in a different environment and just get to work. I can already feel the energy just being around the building and getting to talk to the coaches and getting to talk to the players. "

The vibes around Halas Hall are changing and Taylor can already feel it.

The Bears have been looking for pass-rush help this offseason. It came down to the Bears and Atlanta Falcons for Matthew Judon's services but the Windy City ultimately struck out.

They then pivoted to Taylor. The Tennessee product owns great play strength with a range of pass-rush moves to generate pressure. The 27-year-old has recorded 91 total tackles, 21.5 sacks, and six forced fumbles in 49 games with the Seattle Seahawks.

He'll now be tasked with getting after the quarterback in the Windy City and he's already loving the vibes in Chicago.
