3. Montez Sweat

Chicago bolstered their pass rush halfway through the season when they acquired Sweat from the Washington Commanders in exchange for a 2024 second-round pick.

The Mississippi State product uses his long frame and array of pass moves to generate pressure on the quarterback. Since Sweat joined Chicago in Week 9, the Bears allowed 17 or fewer points in five games to finish the season.

Sweat ended up leading the team in sacks (6) despite only suiting up in nine games for Chicago.

The 27-year-old's impact is felt by everyone on the Bears defense. Sweat plays the game with a relentless and fearless approach. His teammates fed off that and played with a little more juice.

Furthermore, Sweat recorded at least one sack in four of the eight games played in Chicago. Without the presence of the Kentucky native, the Bears' defense wouldn't have taken that second-half leap.

He was named to his first career Pro Bowl, so Sweat is starting to get the recognition he deserves, but the general negative attitude towards the Bears right now has a lot of people overlooking just how much of a difference maker he's going to be next season.
