2. Cole Kmet

Kmet was counted on to be one of the most reliable pass-catchers for the Bears in 2023. The Notre Dame product was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Kmet (6'6) uses his size and tremendous athleticism to be a solid weapon across the middle and the red zone.

In 2023, Kmet posted a career-high in receptions (73) and receiving yards (719) with six touchdowns. Additionally, he ranked fifth among tight ends with 14 receptions of 20-plus yards downfield.

Regardless of what happens at quarterback in 2024, the Bears have found a big-time weapon in the tight end room. Kmet has shown his exceptional skillset to be one of the main contributors this year and something that should be incorporated going forward.

The 24-year-old recorded five games with more than 50 receiving yards in 2023, and Pro Football Focus gve him the seventh-highest receiving grade for any tight end who saw at least 10 targets on the year.

It took some time, and people who got impatient may have already labeled him a flop as a second-round pick, but Kmet has finally lived up to the hype.
