The Cubs finally won it all in 2016. Luckily for fans, the MLB doesn't think it'll take another 108 years to get another title.

November 2, 2016 was a rainy night in Cleveland, Ohio that no Chicago Cubs fan will ever forget. After 108 years of pain, agony, and curse, the Cubs ended the longest championship drought in American sports history by winning game 7 of the World Series.

Many families had loved ones who were Cubs fans before them that passed before they were able to witness what they waited their whole lives for. The excitement, joy, and relief felt by those who waited and saw will probably never be replicated again. And hopefully for every franchise in sports, no such drought will ever be seen again.

The Cubs are amid an offseason where they plan to build a team to compete for another World Series. The latest prediction from MLB doesn't have them winning it next season, but they do see at least one championship in the not-too-distant future.

MLB Predicts Cubs Win 2031 World Series, Lose in 2032.

The MLB social team released a graphic to all social media platforms that shows their predictions for each World Series in the next 10 years. According to their calculations, they see the Cubs winning it all in the year 2032 and following that up with a loss to the New York Yankees in the 2032 Fall Classic.

Cubs fans everywhere, if asked, would take 15 years in between championships over 108 years any day it was offered to them. But they also feel like they are on their way to a chance sooner than that.

With a lineup that currently includes young talent like Nico Hoerner, Dansby Swanson, and the anticipated arrival of Pete Crow-Armstrong (along with the hope of more reinforcements on the way), the Cubs will be looking to reach the pinnacle a lot sooner than 2031.
