Justin Fields Starting to Settle in With New Team
The Chicago Bears have done a lot of things to flip around the roster. The biggest move that was made revolved around the quarterback position.
There was a constant battle between Justin Fields or Caleb Williams but the Bears decided to roll with the latter.
On March 16, the Bears traded Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now two months later, Fields is starting to settle in with his new squad.
The Steelers just held mandatory minicamp from June 11-13, rallying the team for one last tune-up before training camp.
Pittsburgh is having an open quarterback competition between Russell Wilson and Fields but the 25-year-old is at peace being in a new location.
"I am feeling good. I am getting more and more comfortable each and every day. Just getting better every day. That is the goal, to build that foundation now that will last the whole season. Just focused on the details, the little things and stuff like that. Just growing and getting better every day."

In addition to getting better and more used to his new location, Fields told reporters at minicamp that he's been building a connection and rapport with some receivers.
"I am with new receivers, getting new connections, so there is some truth to that where guys don’t naturally have connections yet. That is why we are out here practicing, building trust with each other... It’s good that we are getting different reps with different guys to build that trust with each and every one,” Fields said.
This is a great approach for Fields after shaky three years with the Bears. In 38 starts for Chicago, Fields threw for 6,674 passing yards with 40 passing touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He also picked up 2,220 rushing yards but he finished with a 10-28 record in the Windy City.
The change of scenery was needed for both sides after three tough seasons together but it's good to hear things are going well.
