We are rapidly approaching the NFL season as training camp is slated to start next week around the league. The Chicago Bears get started on July 26, which is music to the ears of the fans.

Before the season officially starts, the NFL will induct seven players into the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame. That 2024 class includes Dwight Freeney, Randy Gradishar, Devin Hester, Andre Johnson, Steve McDaniel, Julius Peppers, and Patrick Willis.

Hester, McDaniels, and Peppers all played for the Bears but Peppers got his first look at the gold jacket.

Peppers was one of the most dominant players in the NFL when he suited up. He was selected with the second overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.

He played with the Panthers for eight seasons before he joined the Bears in free agency. Back in 2010, he signed a six-year, $84 million deal to come over to the Windy City.

In his four-year tenure with the Bears, Peppers racked up 139 total tackles, 47 tackles for loss, and 37.5 sacks, including double-digit sacks during the 2011 and 2012 campaigns.

He was known for being extremely athletic and disruptive despite standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 295 pounds.

Peppers is a member of the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 2000s and 2010s and ranks fourth all-time in sacks (159.5).

Peppers and six other NFL greats will be officially enshrined in the NFL Hall-of-Fame in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 3.
