The Chicago Bears are headed up to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin with one thing in mind: ending the rival Packers' season.

The Bears have not been victorious on the Frozen Tundra since Thanksgiving night in 2015, but a big part of why they feel like they have a chance to take down the hated team up north is because of cornerback Jaylon Johnson.

However, Johnson suffered a shoulder injury last Sunday, causing him to miss the better part of the home win against the Atlanta Falcons. A lot of fans and media were wondering if he was held out of the game because of the severity of the injury, or if just because the game was well-in-hand and there was no need to push it.

His latest comments lead us to believe we have that answer.

Bears News: Jaylon Johnson Plans to Play

Bears reporter Courtney Cronin says that although Johnson has not practiced the last couple days, he plans to try and play on Sunday against the Packers. Additionally, in his weekly segment on local radio 670 the Score, Johnson told Matt Spiegel and Danny Parkins he is "100 percent" playing on Sunday.

The last time the Bears beat the Packers was in December of 2018, when the Bears clinched the NFC North title. Johnson is aware of this. He knows that there are only a couple of people in the building that have ever beaten the Packers as a member of the Bears. He has repeatedly said how much he loves Chicago and wants to be a Bear for a long time - even his whole career. He knows how important this rivalry is to the fans and the city.

Expect Johnson to be out there looking to make All-Pro caliber plays in an effort to end the Packers season, just like the Detroit Lions did to them last year.

Oddsmakers have the Bears as underdogs in their spoiler role, but an upset is certainly well wihtin reach. The Pack are only favored by about a field goal, and the Bears are +140 on the moneyline. Considering Green Bay has home-field advantage, odds like that imply that this one would be pretty close to a coin-flip at a neutral site. Johnson playing would go a long way to making an upset more realistic.
