Despite all of the offseason hype, the Bears are one of the worst offensive teams in the NFL. They cannot seriously compete for a playoff spot until the coaching staff improves, and one man in particular deserves the ire of Chicago's fans.

Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron is making an excellent case for being the single worst offseason signing any organization made. Toddler's playing Madden on a Playstation 5 could call a better offense, and Waldron needs to be fired before the team gets on the plane.

Point to whatever statistic you want to. You'll see an offense with no direction, no intelligent decisions, and no respectable coach.

Bears Need to Fire OC Shane Waldron Immediately

Stop me if you've heard this before, but the Bears currently have someone coaching the offense who doesn't appear to actually understand offense. Caleb Williams has struggled and was under durress all day, yet the blame still falls on Waldron's shoulders.

Entering Week 3, the Bears were dead-last in averaging three yards per play, the worst mark in the history of TeamRankings' database. For a team that includes Williams, D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D'Andre Swift, that's fireable.

Neither Eberflus nor Waldron should keep their jobs. However, Waldron's failings were brought to light with one of the least intelligent fourth-and-goal calls you'll ever see. He called an option play on fourth-and-one out of shotgun from one yard out. Even the most elementary football play-callers know to go under center in these moments, yet Waldon insisted on spreading the play out for some reason that only he can know.

It was a disastrous result. You'll be hard-pressed to find a worse decision all year. Even if the Bears improve, there's no room for Waldron's pathetic decisions in this franchise. He will be fired, it's just now a matter of when the decision will be announced.
