The Chicago Bears know who will be the general manager (Ryan Poles) and who will be the head coach (Matt Eberflus) going into the 2024-25 season. Beyond that, with the exception of a few positions on the field, there's not a whole lot known for the future.

The Bears are sitting on a historical amount of assets to use - multiple first-round draft picks, plenty of room under the salary cap, and multiple budding young talents. Big decisions need to be made, including how they plan to use at least one of those draft picks (currently first and ninth overall). A big-time talent, with loose links to the Bears, just announced he will be there on draft night.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Declares for the NFL Draft

Ohio State University wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is forgoing his senior year season and declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. Harrison is expected to be selected in the top-ten of the draft, where the Bears sit with two picks.

Harrison had a big year for the Buckeyes with 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns. He'd probably tell you otherwise, however, because was unable to defeat arch-rival Michigan for the third time in his career - allowing them to go win a national championship. Although he never beat the Wolverines, he is ready to move on and pursue professional football.

As for his loose ties to the Bears, he basically just liked a couple pro-Bears tweets on X (Twitter) and people made some really good edits of him in a Bears uniform. That's really it. But if the Bears decide to keep quarterback Justin Fields and build around him, you better believe Harrison would be somewhere in those plans.
