Former Bull Returning to Chicago as Coach for 24-25 Season
By Cem Yolbulan
The Chicago Bulls have entered a new era this summer as they parted ways with veterans DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso. Even though they couldn't find new homes for other starters like Nikola Vucevic and Zach Lavine, the Bulls are starting the season in a rebuilding mode. Rising star Coby White, rookie Matas Buzelis, and newly acquired Josh Giddey will be the centerpieces for the 2024-25 Bulls who don't have postseason aspirations for the first time in a couple of years.
However, they still didn't part ways with head coach Billy Donovan. Entering his fifth season in Chicago, the experienced head coach has only one postseason appearance despite the organization prioritizing the playoffs over their future.
Donovan may surprisingly still be around but the rest of the staff has gone through some changes. The most recent hire to the organization is a familiar face for Bulls fans. Former Bull E'Twaun Moore is joining the team as a scout, according to NBC Sports Chicago's K.C. Johnson.
E'Twaun Moore Joining the Chicago Bulls As A Scout
Not only did E'Twaun Moore spend two seasons with the Bulls between 2014 and 2016, but he is also an East Chicago, Indiana native. As one of the best high school players in the country when he was at Central High School in East Chicago, Moore than became a star at Purdue University before becoming a second-round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Moore had a ten-year NBA career, most recently playing for the Phoenix Suns in 2021. Now, he returns to his hometown team in a different role as the Bulls enter a new transitional period.
