Desperate Vikings Trying Position Change for Failed Bears Wideout
The Chicago Bears head into the 2024 season with a bunch of excitement after the flurry of moves they made this offseason.
GM Ryan Poles completely revamped the roster when they added the likes of Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, Keenan Allen, D'Andre Swift, and Kevin Byard.
They believe they can compete with the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and the Minnesota Vikings for the division crown.
The latest move by the Minnesota Vikings was an embarrassing attempt to salvage the career of a failed Bears wide receiver.
Vikings Moving N'Keal Harry to Tight End
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell revealed that Minnesota is moving N'Keal Harry to tight end after he spent the first four years of his career as a wideout.
The 26-year-old was selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots but struggled immensely. Over three seasons, Harry had 57 receptions for 598 receiving yards and four scores.
In July 2022, Harry was shipped to the Chicago Bears yet he couldn't carve out a role there either. He dealt with injuries during his tenure with the Bears but didn't produce even when he was on the field.
In seven games with the Bears in the 2022 season, Harry had seven catches for 116 yards and one score. After Chicago decided to not re-sign Harry, he signed with Minnesota during training camp in 2023.
Harry (6'4, 225 pounds) is a physically imposing force but he failed to be an effective wide receiver. Now the Vikings are looking to see if Harry can provide an impact at tight end but the odds for that aren't too high based on how his NFL career has gone thus far.
