6. Mohamed Kamara (122nd Overall)

Round 4, Pick 122. Mohamad Kamara. 4. player. Mohamed Kamara. . . Mohamad Kamara. 503. Edge

The Bears double-dip at edge in this mock draft. Before the Sweat trade, you would likely see people arguing to draft nothing but edge players in the draft to finally address the position. The Bears finished 31st in sacks a year ago with only 30 on the year. The game today is really about three crucial positions: quarterback, the guys who protect said quarterback, and the guys who get through the guys who protect said quarterback. Still with me?

He will likely fall to the middle rounds due to his size as he is only listed at 6'1", 250 lbs. He does not possess the prototypical length you would want in an edge defender either. On the other hand, he clocked a 4.57 40-yard dash which ranked 3rd amongst all the defensive ends at the combine.

Kamara is likely not getting the attention he deserves due to playing for a smaller school. He is not the complete package you ideally look for in an edge as he is not going to stuff the run all that great, but he will provide a team with pass rush help on day one if they are looking for it. He totaled 21.5 sacks over the past two seasons at Colorado State and finished with a PFF pass-rushing grade of 91.2 last season, good for 10th overall amongst edge defenders out of 716 qualifying players.
