4. Erik Kramer (1994-1998)
Erik Kramer's 1995 season still holds the mark for the most passing yards for any Bears QB in one year (3,838). The former undrafted player wasn't part of a long-winning era of Chicago football but benefitted from the start of the passing boon and ranks highly on the team's all-time lists.
Unfortunately, he only managed an 18-228 total record with the organization though he has the fourth-highest career passer rating (80.7) and sixth-most passing yards (10,582).

Kramer still holds the single-season records, which speaks to the futility at the position throughout Bears' history. However, fans are understandably optimistic that Caleb Williams can improve on those numbers.
He played for four different teams (Falcons, Lions, Bears, Chargers) before retiring following the 1999 season but his greatest individual success came with Chicago.

3. Jay Cutler (2009-2016)
Some fans will argue that Jay Cutler should be higher on this list and I'll listen to that idea, because the gunslinger is the Bears' leader in passing yards (23,443), TDs (154), wins (51), game-winning drives (18) and games started (102).
Cutler was a blast to watch, possessing one of the NFL's strongest arms. He never made a Super Bowl but is one of the defining passers of the franchise's illustrious history nonetheless. Active in the community and still a native of Chicago, Cutler represents the best QB a generation of fans have seen.

He wowed fans with his fearless mentality, though that did cause Cutler to lead the league in interceptions twice. For better or worse, he lived with the risky play.
Few players could simultaneously captivate and frustrate fans like Cutler could, though he had far more good moments than bad. Nearly 10,000 yards ahead of Sid Luckman on the team's all-time passing list, it'll be a long time before Williams or any other QB catches him.
