Caleb Williams Tweets About WR Draft Prospect He's a 'Big Fan' Of

USC QB Caleb Williams won’t have to wait to hear his name called on Thursday night as he’s set to be selected with the first overall pick by the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Bears will be busy on the first night of the 2024 NFL Draft as they also have the No. 9 overall pick. The Bears could use that pick to take a pass rusher, or wide receiver, or move down in the draft.
If the Bears decide to take the second choice, Chicago could select Washington WR Rome Odunze at No. 9, giving the team a formidable wide receiver that features Keenan Allen and D.J. Moore.
Williams would love the opportunity to throw to Odunze, who he saw on his way to the draft on Tuesday.
The former USC quarterback said that he’s a big fan of Odunze, whom he’s gotten a chance to see over the last two years playing in the Pac-12. Odunze is one of the best receivers in this year’s class as he’s a tremendous route runner and a big play waiting to happen.
Last season, Odunze posted 92 receptions for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Huskies went toe-to-toe with USC on Nov. 4, where Washington won in a 52-42 shootout. Odunze didn’t have a huge impact in the game as he only had five receptions for 82 yards.
However, Williams knows what Odunze brings to the table and would be a perfect replacement for Allen, who is entering the final year of a four-year contract extension that he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020.
