Best Bears Bets in Week 5: Unraveling the Bears Offense
Betting the Receivers
It was a total mixed bag for pass catchers last week. Williams only threw the ball 23 times for 17 completions, so it was hard for anybody to get too much volume. Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet, and DJ Moore had 3 receptions for low yards (Kmet's 34 was the leader of the group). Coming off 112 yards in Week 3, Rome Odunze had only 1 catch for 10 yards.
Swift's huge day continued in the air with 7 catches on 7 targets and 72 yards (including a 24-yard catch and run). Getting Swift involved in the receiving game is a must execute tactic for the Bears.
Draft Kings wants to give you money at 60 yards for Moore, 50 yards for Allen, 40 yards for Odunze and Kmet, and 25 yards for Swift (an enticing +190). Forty for Kmet seems out of range and as we saw last week, every one of the receivers could miss those numbers, or they could all beat those numbers like Week 3. The yards are really fickle for Bears receivers right now but I don't think Moore can be contained two weeks in a row, especially against his old team.
Pick: DJ Moore over 4.5 receptions at -115
