The Chicago Bears own two picks in the top nine selections of the 2024 NFL Draft. It seems like a lock that the Bears will select Caleb Williams with the first overall pick but there are decisions to make regarding the No. 9 overall pick.

We are four weeks away from the draft so the Bears are still finalizing their draft board but they have a unique strategy surrounding the No. 9 pick.

This is certainly a strange approach but could work out in their favor long term. Having a range of different conversations about multiple different players gives them the opportunity to see who could be the best fit for the team.

"We’re going to do some cool things when we get back, kind of break into teams. One team is going to talk about [why] the tackle position is the best to go after, [why] the receiver’s the best, [why] the defensive end’s the best and use factual information to spit that out — and we’ll have a debate in terms of what’s more impactful for our football team, short-term and long-term."

There will be plenty of blue-chip prospects at that ninth spot so finding out who they believe will be the best choice will take a boatload of various conversations.
